Course A: Digital Documentation and Information Management in Design and Construction  (sub-pages)

Course content This module will introduce students into notions and practice of digital documentation, creation and use of data bases, information management in design and construction of a project. Philosophy, documentation tools and their participation in design and construction of a project will be elaborated, as well as the development and use of the software «Buildings’ Memory», and the relevant theoretical and practical problems which emerge during its development and application. The «Buildings’ Memory» is an open software for the data base creation by using multimedia in the Internet. Students will have to use the software to introduce a building whose study and restoration have already been completed in a previous semester.
