Organisation of national and regional space. Spatial units, sectors of economic activity.
The role of cities. Greek urban and rural space. Internationalisation of space-consequences. Content and processes of regional planning. Intervention strategy: national, “regional” local level. Policy options.
The European perspective. Planning procedure: space, time, content, geographical levels. Regional planning in practice. The Greek experience. The European Community. Regional Plans, application tools. Levels of decision-making and co-ordination.
