Course A: Modern Greek Architecture
8/23/2019

Course content

This seminar will study several of the aspects of Greek modernism which are related to specific themes of the Greek architecture of the 20th century. Its aim is to deepen the historical and theoretical background of specific architectural buildings and projects, to investigate their place in the broader context of international modernism, to broaden the cultural context of their epoch, to illuminate their philosophical and ideological background. Through this process, the course is expected to develop original critical interpretative tools, deconstruct stereotypical and outdated theories, clarify ambiguous and vague notions and ideas, encourage new connections and "exits" outside the given framework.
