"Hotels in Geece from 1830 until today" Mihalitsa Kalou - Maria Pantou

A historical review of “tourism” and the most important examples of hotels from 1830 since our days. Starting from the first hotels that built in Athens, the capital of the new born state of Greece, and also in other cities, we witness their development through time, we are moving to the hotels of the period between the two World Wars, and in progress, to the Greek Organization of Tourism and particularly Aris Konstantinidis and his “Xenia”. Finally, we end up to the new international forms of hotels and in conclusion through the development of all these different forms, we suggest ways that could form the foundation of a better tourism.
