"The bioclimatic design in the Japanese housing. From tradition to today's reality" Psaraki Andriani

Natural and human factors, which influence the bioclimatic design in Japan, such as, typhoons, earthquakes, climate, the architecture of wood, the organization of society. The meaning of the standardization of housing. Analysis of the traditional house parts. Analysis of the contemporary house, the application of thermal insulation, the development of the building cell, the passive energy systems etc.

Beyond the insufficiencies, the traditional Japanese architecture had reached the creation of conditions, in which man can gain a positive experience of nature. Contemporary architecture faces the bioclimatic design mainly with the usage of energy. This leads to the quick consumption of the energy sources, the increase of thermal passivity demands of the buildings, the formation of insulated and isolated cell and the search for new alternative forms of energy.
