"Forms of contemporary urban development. The example of Korinthos" Grispos Nikos

Corinth is a town of 40.000 inhabitants, 90 kilometers south-west of Athens. The region’s proximity with Athens has been an important factor for its development that has led to the formation of an urban zone along the Corinthian gulf coast. The recent construction of the suburban railway connects Corinth to the metropolitan transport network and as a result integrates the region in the capital’s urban periphery. The purpose of this assay is to study the changes of region’s urban landscape, considering the local factors that affect them.
