"Architecture as the mean and the subject of communication. Hardware and Software" Sakkas Panos

The subject of this research is the way in which architecture reestablishes her relation with the media, in a time when the mechanisms of communication determine how familiar our ever-changing environment is towards us. Architecture becomes either the object of a digital absorption from the media and either the projector of their material body in the city. This research focuses on the technical ability of analyzing the way in which the relationship between architecture and the media works and tries to find a schema for that purpose through the dipole of Hardware and Software. In this way it becomes possible to describe a reverse relationship in which architecture on the one hand becomes the mirror of a global network in a specific location and on the other hand it becomes the mirror of a specific location in a global network.
