International Research • Μanagement Across Levels of Government, OECD (1995). The former Director Luis Wassenhoven has conducted the chapter referred to Greece. • Sustainability, development and spatial planning: An examination of the capacity of spatial planning systems in Europe to develop and implement policy for sustainability. European Commission GD XII Programme “Environment and Climate” (1998-2000). Participation: Research teams from 7 E.U. countries. Co-ordination: University of the West of Enland) • Τhe Compendium of Spatial Planning Systems and Policies. Research Project of GD XVI of the EC. Main Partners: Chesterton και University of the West of England (1994-97). The former Director Luis Wassenhoven was responsible for the Greek part of the project and the author of the Greek volume. (The EU Compendium of Spatial Planning Systems and Policies: Greece, European Commission, Office for Official Publications of the European Communities, Luxembourg, 2000, ISBN 92-828-2692-9). • Governance of Territorial and Urban Policies from EU to Local Level, Programme ESPON 2.3.2 of the EC (2004 - 2006). Participation: 17 European Unversities and Research Centres, including the NTUA. The Laboratiory participated in the Steering Committee of the Project. General Coordinator: University of Valencia.
